A family session at home on Old Mission Peninsula

When I walked into the Queeny house last week, Warner was baby-wearing their youngest and sweeping the floor. Edith was helping their oldest get dressed and discussing exactly how many layers of sweaters, dresses and/or skirts would be appropriate for the session. When the weather is really cold or windy, making it difficult to navigate comfortably with babies (or honestly even if it’s a lovely day outside) I think taking photos in your home can be truly special. These are the spaces where your children are going to have a million childhood memories. I like to think that in 20 years they will rediscover these photos and say things like “oh wow! I remember that blanket!” or “I loved that toy” and feel a deep sense of nostalgia from seeing photos of themselves as kids in spaces that they were so comfortable in and where they felt so loved. Cheers to the Queeny family. You guys are just the best. xo
